Song from the new album “Something Beautiful” arrives on digital platforms this Friday (9)
Miley Cyrus is about to release the third single from her new album “Something Beautiful,” which will be released on May 30. After a private performance in New York, “More To Loose” will be available on digital platforms this Friday (9).
Through social media, the singer has already given fans a preview of what they can expect: a painful and emotional song. Mentioning the creative process, she explained:
“I tried to record my song ‘More to Lose’ in one take. In the end, more harmonic sounds were added, but it’s a song that tells a story, so I didn’t want it to be interrupted or overthought or perfect. I wanted it to sound painful and emotional.”
So far, Miley Cyrus has released the songs “Something Beautiful,” “End of the World,” and “Prelude,” the latter of which is all spoken word, as part of her upcoming ninth studio album. The collection is named after the first song mentioned and will also feature a film.
The pop star has also released the first trailer for the feature film. Almost two minutes long, the preview shows the singer in various settings, including filming studios and stages, as well as shots on the Walk of Fame. Some text appears on the screen, which previews:
“A unique visual experience. Full of fantasy. Including 13 previously unreleased tracks from the upcoming album. A unique kind of pop opera. From the mind of Miley Cyrus. Exciting. Electrifying. Explosive. Sensitive. Surprising. Breathtaking. Spectacular. Album releases May 30. Film releases in June.”
It is worth remembering that the artist had already given some clues about the new musical chapter some time ago. In an interview with Harpers Bazaar magazine, in November of last year, she commented:
“My next album is visual and musical and was inspired by Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’. When I watched it, I really immersed myself in the film. And that’s why I have this sentimental attachment. My idea was to make a ‘The Wall’, but expanded, with more glamour and full of pop culture. It’s a concept album that is an attempt to medicate a somewhat unhealthy culture through music.”
