Number_i is a Japanese boy band associated with Tobe, formed in October 2023. The group consists of Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi.
The three former members of King & Prince, under Johnny & Associates, left the group on May 22, 2023. Hirano and Jinguji cut ties with the agency on the same day, while Kishi left on September 30, 2023. On July 7, 2023, Hirano and Jinguji announced in a YouTube livestream their new affiliation with Tobe co., Ltd, established by Hideaki Takizawa. Kishi’s announcement that he now belonged to Tobe Co., Ltd was made in a YouTube livestream on October 15, 2023, and also included the news about the formation of Number_i.
Kishi created “Number_i” and Hirano and Jinguji agreed on the group’s name. The “i” stands for Number One and Only One, signifying the goal of being number one, as well as the importance of the journey to get there.

Yuta Kishi (Date of birth: September 29, 1995) is a Japanese singer, actor, and television personality. His film and television roles have included Toi in Oniichan, Gacha, Yūsuke Kaji in Defying Kurosaki-kun, Shu Maiko in Nisekoi, Arata Fukazawa in Night Doctor, and Inokichi Myojin in Hissatsu Shigotonin.
Sho Hirano (Date of birth: January 29, 1997) is a Japanese singer and actor. He is a member of the boy band Number_i. Previously, Hirano was part of Johnny & Associates as a trainee and was a member of Mr. King, later debuting as King & Prince in 2018. He left the group and agency on May 22, 2023. SHO HIRANO was considered the best male idol of 2025 in a vote made by @TOP100KPOP on Twitter that gathered more than 10 million votes, congratulations!
Yuta Jinguji (Date of birth: October 30, 1997) is a singer, actor, talent, and idol from Chiba. He was affiliated with Johnny & Associates before transferring to TOBE on July 7, 2023. He is a former member of King & Prince who left the group on May 22, 2023.
