Singer just announced extra dates for the tour

J-Hope is on the road with his solo tour, “HOPE ON THE STAGE”. The K-pop star has just announced new dates for the tour. Unfortunately, Brazil is not included.

The news was announced this Wednesday (8), by Big Hit Music. He will perform on June 13 and 14, in Seoul. The show will take place at the Goyang Sports Complex.

The date is especially important for J-Hope and BTS fans: it will be the 12th anniversary of the group’s debut. They began their journey on June 13, 2013.

The shows on June 13 and 14 will end J-Hope’s solo tour, which began in February of this year as part of the promotion of the singer’s latest singles, such as “Mona Lisa” and “Sweet Dreams”. In total, he performed 31 times in 15 different cities.

Although he will not be coming to Brazil—or to some places around the world—J-Hope’s last show of his solo tour will be broadcast online for those who want to watch the farewell of “HOPE ON THE STAGE”.

Jung Hoseok is a South Korean rapper, dancer, songwriter, and record producer. He is popularly known as a member of the boy band BTS.

J-Hope released Hope World, his first solo mixtape, in 2018. The album received positive critical reception and peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200 in the United States, the highest position for a Korean artist at the time. In 2019, the single “Chicken Noodle Soup” featuring singer Becky G debuted at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut album Jack in the Box was released on July 15, 2022.

J-Hope was born on February 18, 1994, in Gwangju, South Korea. He joined Big Hit after moving to Seoul in 2010, starting his years as a trainee. Hoseok reports that he joined Big Hit with no experience in singing or rapping, and that he was initially going to take on the role of vocalist. However, with his affinity for dance, he already had knowledge and appreciation for rap, hip-hop and R&B, becoming a rapper. Before joining Big Hit, he auditioned for JYP, along with Youngjae (B.A.P).[4] In June 2012, he made a guest appearance in Jo Kwon’s music video “I’m Da One”, along with Jungkook, Jin, V and Suga. He was quite famous in the Gwangju underground and won several dance competitions before joining BTS, having been a dancer since a very young age. J-Hope admits that, despite practicing dance for hours and spending late nights rehearsing choreography, he doesn’t like to exercise or go to the gym. He was also part of the dance group NEURON.
