There’s a major collaboration in the area! Amy Lee, lead singer of Evanescence, and singer Halsey have just released the single “Hand That Feeds” together, which hit the platforms this Friday (09). The track is part of the soundtrack of “Ballerina”, a spin-off of the John Wick franchise, which hits theaters on June 6.
With a dense, dark and powerful vibe, “Hand That Feeds” combines Amy’s gothic rock with Halsey’s visceral alternative pop. The minimalist production and the intense vocals of the two create a charged atmosphere, the kind that gives us goosebumps from start to finish.
The collaboration came about after an invitation from Lionsgate, the studio responsible for the film, and came at the same time that Halsey and Evanescence were organizing a joint performance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, scheduled for May 14.
On social media, Amy Lee celebrated the creative meeting: “We’ve been fans of each other’s work for a long time, and it really feels like the universe brought us together for this moment.” Halsey also shared a snippet of the track with fans and showed excitement about the result.
